General Caste List in Tamilnadu
General category caste list in Tamil Nadu has not been clearly released by the state government. People of general category get the benefit of reservation in government jobs and educational institutions, who are economically weak. Those are called economically weaker sections (EWS).
Generally, EWS Caste List in Tamil Nadu includes various castes, which include Brahmin, Rajput, Kayastha, Bhumihar, Vaishya / Bania, Jain Barnwal, Khatri, Sindhi, Syed (Muslim), Sheikh (Muslim), Pathan (Muslim) and others. However, these castes are also in the reserved category in many states. Search the name of your caste in the reserved categories, if it is not there, then the family fulfilling the EWS reservation conditions can get its benefit.
